A 29-year-old man, who was charged with three counts of sexual touching against his 14-year-old stepdaughter, was denied bail when he appeared before a San Fernando Magistrate yesterday. The accused, who resides in Reform, Princes Town, is expected to reappear before the court on August 6th.

The man has six pending court matters, among them, Driving Under the Influence (D.U.I), possession of marijuana, obscene language, and resisting arrest.
According to police reports, he was arrested and charged on July 23rd by W/Cpl Chance, of the Southern Division Child Protection Unit (CPU), following a police report in May 2021 that detailed alleged incidents of sexual touching against a 14-year-old girl.

The girl told police that while at her home, a man touched her inappropriately on three separate occasions from December 2016 to March 2021. The investigation, spearheaded by W/Superintendent of Police, Claire Guy-Alleyne, and supported by Insp (Ag.) Khan, resulted in the charges being laid against the girl’s stepfather.
