RHONDOR DOWLAT-ROSTANT

Three people were arrested, and a quantity of stolen items recovered by officers of the Western Division, during an anti-crime exercise conducted in the Western and Port of Spain Divisions, on Sunday afternoon.

A police report stated that the officers conducted the exercise between 12:45 and 3:35 pm on Sunday.

During the exercise, the officers went to Independence Square, Port-of-Spain, where they arrested two suspects—30-year-old man and a 22-year-old woman, both of Bagatelle Road, Diego Martin.

A search of the suspects’ vehicle resulted in several stolen items being found.

Officers also conducted a search of the suspects’ home where a large quantity of cellular phones, tablets, laptops, computer parts and accessories were found.

Officers then went to the home of a 23-year-old Diego Martin man, where they also found a large number of electronic devices and quantities of cash and marijuana.

The exercise arose out of investigations into a report of robbery with aggravation, which occurred at Four Roads, Diego Martin, on June 21st, 2021.
