Three men have been arrested and charged with drunk driving.
They were held during a road traffic exercise conducted by the Sangre Grande Police Traffic Section.
The exercise, coordinated by acting Snr Supt Khan and supervised by Sgt Johnson, saw the administering of 25 field sobriety tests, which resulted in the arrest of 36-year-old Devanand Sudama, of Plum Mitan, Sangre Grande; 52-year-old Bickeram Joseph, of Picton Road, Sangre Grande; and 63-year-old Herman Webb, of Monkey Town, New Grant.
The three men appeared virtually yesterday before Sangre Grande Magistrate Sarah De Silva.
Webb and Sudama were granted own bail in the sum of $5,000.
Joseph, however, was reprimanded and discharged.
Webb is expected to reappear before De Silva on February 18 while Sudama is expected to reappear on April 30.
In a statement yesterday the Police Service reminded members of the public once again to refrain from driving/operating any vehicle after the consumption of any alcoholic drinks.
