Three Venezuelan women are expected to face a Siparia Magistrate today, after being charged with possession of ammunition.
Official police reports indicate that the women were arrested and charged on Monday 19th October 2020, during an anti-crime exercise conducted in the Penal district by officers of the Penal Criminal Investigations Department (CID).
According to a TTPS release, officers received information which led them to a house in Gopie Trace, Penal, where they found three Venezuelan nationals who had entered the country illegally.
A search was conducted of the premises and 54 rounds of .38 special ammunition were found in a knapsack on the floor.



The three females were detained and quarantined for a period of two weeks.
On November 10th, they were arrested and charged by WPC Sonnylal for possession of ammunition.
The arrested women are: 22-year-old AMITZADAYS URICARE, 25-year-old LUISCTRETH URICARE, and 18-year-old LINEISIS SALAZAR, of Tucupita.
They will appear in a virtual hearing before Magistrate Aden Stroude at the Siparia Magistrates’ Court today, to answer to the charges
