A San Fernando CD/DVD street vendor was among four people injured after a man pretending to be a customer opened fire on them.
Guardian Media understands the incident took place around 7:30 pm at Johnstone Street, San Fernando, on Monday 1 March 2021.
Initial reports stated that a heavily tinted white Hyundai Elantra motorcar pulled up and the driver asked vendor Sherene Khan for a dancehall CD. He then pointed a firearm and fired several shots, hitting Khan, and three other persons.
39-year-old Sherene Khan suffered a bullet graze to her right arm. The other three victims are: 37-year-old Adrian Calliste, who was wounded on his left leg; 25-year-old Kareem Wilson, who was shot in his abdomen; and 39-year-old Dillon Thompson, who was wounded on his left leg.
All four injured persons were taken to the San Fernando General Hospital, and are said to be in a stable condition.
Investigations are ongoing.
