AMCHAM T&T handed over a mural to the Ministry of Education (MOE)

AMCHAM T&T presented a mural to the Ministry of Education with a message urging citizens to become vaccinated against the COVID-19 virus. Details follow in this press release from the ministry. 

As part of the ongoing, national fight against the Covid-19 Pandemic, AMCHAM T&T handed over a mural to the Ministry of Education (MOE), with a message urging citizens to become vaccinated against the dreaded virus. The handing over ceremony took place at the MOE building on Friday 15th October, 2021.  

Attending the handing over ceremony were, Dr. the Hon. Nyan Gadsby-Dolly, Minister of Education, Permanent Secretary, Lenor Baptiste-Simmons, Ms. Greer Quan, Vice-President of AMCHAM Trinidad and Tobago, Mr. Nirad Tewari, Chief Executive Officer, AMCHAM, Trinidad and Tobago and Ms. Zinnia Li, the local graffiti artist, who created the mural. 

The artwork is part of the of the “Take the Jab Jab” local videos vaccine campaign, and  colourfully symbolises and celebrates national unity, the freedom citizens enjoy when vaccinated and the daily support nationals show for one another, especially during this time of the Covid-19 pandemic.  

The mural was previously on display at the National Academy for the Performing Arts (NAPA) Mass Vaccination Site in Port-of-Spain to encourage citizens, specifically adults and students over twelve (12) years old, to become vaccinated. 

The handing over event is also part of both the Government’s and the Private Sector’s campaign to dispel fears and doubts of citizens about the vaccine’s efficacy, usage and side effects.
