The ANSA McAL Group of Companies has donated 200 tablets to the Ministry of Education under the umbrella of the Adopt-A-School Programme.

The ANSA McAL Group of Companies has joined the list of corporate donors partnering with the Ministry of Education through the donation of electronic devices to students, under the umbrella of the Adopt-A-School Programme.

A donation of 200 tablets took place at the Education Towers on Thursday, 10th December, 2020, which represent the first phase of the One Caribbean. One Future. One Yard virtual benefit concert that took place on 30th October, 2020. The ANSA McAL Group of Companies also committed to assisting with regional remote learning by partnering with various Ministries of Education in Trinidad and Tobago, Barbados, Grenada, Guyana and Jamaica.

Dr the Honourable Nyan Gadsby-Dolly, Minister of Education, welcomed the donation and reiterated her call to other corporate entities to contribute to the Adopt-A-School Programme. “Once a donor steps forward to help our children, someone else joins. Our example today teaches children how to care, in their time, for those who will need their support”, she said.

Minister Gadsby-Dolly was joined by Lenor Baptiste-Simmons, Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Education. Meanwhile, the ANSA McAL Foundation was represented by Andrew Sabga and the ANSA McAL Group of Companies by Frances Bain Cumberbatch, Chief Legal and External Affairs Officer.
