Police officers search for evidence following the shooting of a man in Arouca.

A man, who was shot multiple times was able to identify himself and state where he lived to people who stopped to help him.

He, however, died while undergoing medical treatment at the Arima District Hospital.

According to a police report, at about 2.30 pm Kadeem Roberts, 33, was at Emerald Circular, Bon Air Gardens in Arouca when a gunman walked up to him and opened fire on him.

The gunman then escaped.

Roberts was shot in the chest and stomach.

Roberts lived at Windyhill in Arouca.

Residents who heard the gunshots ran to Roberts’ assistance. Almost breathless, police said, Roberts was able to divulge critical information.

Roberts was taken to the hospital where he later died.

Officers from the Homicide Bureau of Investigation Region 2 are investigating.
