A Diego Martin man remains in custody as he assists police’s investigation into the Christmas Day murder of Kevion Julien.
Julien, 27, of La Lune Road, Moruga suffered a fatal stab wound to his chest during an argument with four men near his girlfriend Tashika McNish’s home in La Lune.
Following the stabbing, the men ran to their car and drove away. According to investigators, the driver of the car and another man went to the Four Roads Police Station in Diego Martin that night and gave statements. The driver was allowed to leave, but police detained the other man.
Detectives from the Homicide Bureau of Investigations: Region Three are awaiting the results of an autopsy on Julien’s body.
Post mortem findings will form part of a report to submit to the Director of Public Prosecutions for instructions on whether to charge the suspect.
According to reports Julien was liming on the roadside when four men joined him.
Around 8.30 pm, an argument broke out, and one of the men took out a knife and stabbed Julien.
Julien ran to McNish’s home for help but died.
He was the father of a toddler, who turned a year earlier this month.
