An autopsy conducted on the body of watermelon vendor Mickey Rambally confirmed that he was chopped to death.
The autopsy was done yesterday at the Forensic Science Centre in St James.
Rambally, 57, was found dead at Kernaham Trace, Manzanilla, on Sunday. Police confirmed that he was chopped on the right arm after he was confronted and held up by bandits while at a watermelon field where he worked as a watchman.
Police said Rambally’s murder came as a shock to his relatives and villagers as he was well-loved and respected by all.
Investigations are continuing.
