Ansa Merchant Bank Limited has completed its acquisition of Bank of Baroda Trinidad and Tobago Limited.
An official statement from the company states that today, Monday 1st March 2021, represents the first day that the business operations of bank of Baroda Trinidad and Tobago Limited are being conducted under the ownership of Ansa Merchant Bank Limited.
The transaction commenced via a sales agreement, which was signed on 11th December 2019, and was approved by the Central Bank on 20th November 2020.
The statement explains that the bank will continue to operate as Bank of Baroda Trinidad and Tobago Limited for a period of one month.
The new chairman of the bank is David Dulal-Whiteway, while the new managing director is Robert Le Hunte.
