The Buccoo Reef ferry will be operational on the Trinidad to Tobago seabridge for the upcoming Easter holiday period, according to a release from the Management of the Trinidad and Tobago Inter-island Transportation Company Limited (TTIT).
The TTIT explains that the Buccoo Reef’s statutory maintenance programme has been rescheduled to April 20, 2022. The ferry underwent preparatory landside works from March 12th and resumed service on March 21st.
“Additional sailings have been scheduled to satisfy the peak demand associated with the Easter holiday period,” the TTIT confirms.
The following is the amended sailing schedule for the seabridge:
Passengers are advised that the additional sailings would not impact the previously published schedule as the original times have not changed. As such, ticket revalidations are NOT required.
In addition, the TTIT reminds the public that vessels assigned to the ferry service are interchangeable without notice at the Port Authority’s discretion.
The travelling public also is reminded that COVID-19 health and safety protocols remain in effect:
■ Mask wearing remains mandatory on the Port’s compound and on the ferries
■ Temperature screening is required on entry at the Terminals
■ Wash/sanitize hands at wash stations installed prior to entry
■ Persons with flu like symptoms may be denied entry
