The Coast Guard intercepted a party boat with 76 people on board who were headed Down The Islands yesterday. Following a report of an overloaded motor vessel slipping berth from Alcan Bay, Chaguaramas, Coast Guard officers intercepted and escorted the vessel back to the bay where a headcount was done. Onboard were 40 females and 36 males who were handed over to the police. In a release, the Coast Guard reminded citizens and other maritime users that under current Public Health Ordinance “it is illegal to be part of any gathering exceeding ten people whilst engaged in any maritime activity.”
