18-year-old Jakeem Waldron was charged with wounding with intent and possession of firearm and ammunition to endanger life. He will appear in the Chaguanas Magistrates’ Court to answer these charges. Details follow in this press release from the TTPS:
JAKEEM WALDRON, 18, is expected to appear before a Chaguanas Magistrate tomorrow to answer to the charge of wounding with intent, possession of firearm and ammunition, as well as possession of firearm and ammunition to endanger life.
Detectives of the Longdenville Police Station, Cunupia and Chaguanas Criminal Investigations Department (CID) conducted investigations which lead to the arrest of JAKEEM WALDRON, of Samson Trace, Cunupia on October 20th, and subsequently charged by PC Cole on October 24th.
On October 19th, a 19-year-old man, of Longdenville, reported to police that he was standing outside his home when a gold Nissan Tiida pulled in front of him and a man allegedly pointed a firearm in his direction and several loud explosions were then heard.
The 19-year-old reported feeling burning sensations about his body and he was rushed to the Chaguanas Health Facility by relatives.
