Mechanical problems affecting one of the highlift pumps at the Valsayn Highlift Station are responsible for the water service interruption currently being experienced in parts of north Trinidad.
An advisory from the Water and Sewerage Authority confirms that emergency repair works currently underway, and are expected to be completed by 8:00 pm today, Friday 11th March 2022.
WASA assures customers that a limited truck-borne water service will be available upon request.
The Authority notes that affected areas include areas North of the Eastern Main Road from St. Joseph to Tunapuna, inclusive of Curepe and St. Augustine.
WASA is reminding customers that it may take up to 24 hours for the service to normalize to some affected areas following the completion of repairs at these facilities.
