A 42-year old farmer has been arrested by police after an AR-15 was found in a vehicle.
According to police reports, based on information received, Longdenville police officers intercepted a black Mitsubishi Lancer along Thompson Road, Carlsen Field, and conducted a search of the vehicle.
In the front passenger side of the vehicle, one AR 15 riffle fitted with a magazine and eight rounds of 5.56-millimetre ammunition were allegedly found. The driver, 42- year old Sunil Balliram, of Thompson Road, Palmiste, was arrested and charged. He is expected to appear virtually at the Chaguanas Magistrates’ Court today to answer to the charges.
