A man believed to be homeless has died after being struck by a vehicle.
According to reports, a driver reported that around 9 am Sunday morning he was driving his vehicle in the vicinity of the Centre for Socially Displaced Persons when a man ran across the roadway into the path of his car.
The man said when he came out of the car he observed a man of African descent lying motionless on the road.
The man was later pronounced dead.
He was identified as 65-year-old Lester Michael Mitchell.
