Four persons have been detained by police in connection with a robbery at a construction company in Couva. The stolen items were found in the vehicle the suspects were travelling in. The following is a press release from the TTPS:
Four persons were arrested in the Princes Town area on August 23rd 2021 after the vehicle in which they were travelling was intercepted by police officers. They were held in connection with a report of items being stolen from a construction company in Couva on the same day. The stolen items were found in the vehicle with the suspects.
In an exercise co-ordinated by Senior Superintendent Curt Simon and acting ASP Ragoo, which was supervised by acting Sgt Modeste and conducted by officers of the Couva CID and Central Division Task Force with assistance from the Princes Town Police on August 23rd 2021, the homes of two of the suspects were searched but nothing illegal was found. The suspects remain in police custody. Acting corporal BOXHILL of the Couva Police is continuing investigations.
