A La Horquetta man is expected to appear before an Arima Magistrate on May 18th charged with the murder of his nephew Marvin Hosten, which occurred on May 11th. Joseph Als, 53, a mechanic, of Phase 5, La Horquetta, was charged with the offence following advice received from Director of Public Prosecutions, Roger Gaspard SC, on May 15th. According to police reports, Mr Hosten, 26, also of Phase 5, La Horquetta, was at his home when he was stabbed several times about the body by a male relative. He died at the scene. Als was arrested by officers of the Special Operations Response Team on the same day and handed over the Homicide Bureau of Investigations (HBI), Region 2 investigators. The charge was laid by WPC Sargeant of the HBI Region 2 on May 15th.
