Keron Fletcher, a labourer from Toradale was granted $15,000 bail when he appeared before Magistrate Armina Deonarinesingh at the San Fernando Magistrates’ Court yesterday charged with burglary. He is expected to reappear before the San Fernando Magistrates’ Court on November 30th. The following is a press release from the TTPS:
KERRON FLETCHER, appeared virtually before Magistrate Armina Deonarinesingh at the San Fernando Magistrates’ Court yesterday, charged with burglary. FLETCHER, 24, a labourer of Stoney Hill Avenue, Toradale, was granted $15,000 bail with a surety.
He is expected to reappear before the San Fernando Magistrates’ Court on November 30th, 2021. According to police reports on September 8th, 2021, at 9 pm the man secured his home and went to bed. At approximately 2 am the man was awoken by a loud noise coming from his living room. Upon entering the room, he saw a man standing allegedly holding a laptop in his hand. He raised an alarm and the man dropped the laptop and ran, escaping through the back door of the house.
Upon checking his home, he discovered his two cell phones missing. The man then contacted the Ste Madeline Police Station and officers from the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) and Crime Scene Investigations (CSI) responded. Upon arrival to the man’s house, the officers made checks of the surrounding areas but did not locate the suspect.
However, CSI officers were able to gather workable prints from the laptop. PC Ragoonath of the Ste Madeline CID continued enquiries into the matter and arrested and charged KERRON FLETCHER on November 1st, 2021 for the offence.
