Police have charged a 34-year-old labourer with four counts of sexual penetration of a child.
The accused man was nabbed by officers of the Tobago Division Child Protection Unit (CPU) on Saturday during a sting operation coordinated by acting Supt Natash George, ASP Nowbutt, Sgt Miller and executed by acting Cpl Mc Millan and PC Mitchell. The team was given assistance by officers of the Emergency Response Patrol (ERP).
The Poice Service said in a statement that the man’s arrest followed an investigation launched by PC Mitchell of the Tobago Division CPU surrounding the alleged assault of a 15-year-old girl who alerted officers to the assaults on November 16, 2019.
