A 22-year-old man was remanded into custody on Friday November 12th, after appearing virtually before a Chaguanas Magistrate charged with the murder of 68-year-old Olyster Wilson, which occurred last Thursday.
An official statement from the Police Service reports that KEVON JULIEN, of Bhagaloo Street, Enterprise, Chaguanas, is scheduled to reappear before the court on December 12th, 2021.
JULIEN was charged with murder by W/Cpl (Ag.) Keisha King of the Chaguanas Police Station on November 11th, 2021, following advice received by Director of Public Prosecutions, Roger Gaspard, SC.
According to police reports, on the evening of November 4th, 2021, a man was in his yard removing clothing from a clothesline after which he approached one of his relatives.

The wounded man was rushed to the Chaguanas Health Facility and later transferred to the Eric Williams Medical Sciences Centre, Mt Hope, where he was placed on a ward in critical condition. However, on November 6th, the wounded man succumbed to the injuries sustained in the cutlass attack.
He was later identified as 68-year-old Olyster Wilson.
The suspect later surrendered himself to the Chaguanas Police Station on the same day of the incident.
