Thirty-eight-year-old Jason Conlifee was both granted and denied bail in connection with two separate fraud charges when he appeared virtually yesterday before a Chaguanas and San Fernando Magistrate, charged with larceny of $105,000.
Conlifee, an IT technician, was charged with larceny of $70,000 and $35,000 respectively by WPC Brewster of the Fraud Squad on March 19th. According to police reports, in the first case, in December 2021, a woman allegedly paid a total of $70,000 as down payment for a black 2018 Toyota Fielder wagon however she never receive the vehicle.
Conlifee was charged with larceny $70,000 in connection with this case and was granted $100,000 bail at the Chaguanas Magistrates’ Court. He will reappear before the court on April 12th, 2022, to answer to the charge.
In the second case, another woman paid $35,000 as a down payment for a black 2018 Toyota Fielder wagon valued at $70,000. The accused was denied bail at the San Fernando Magistrates’ Court in connection with this report and the matter was postponed to March 25th, 2022.
