A 42-year-old Siparia man is scheduled to appear in a virtual hearing before the Siparia Magistrates’ Court today, to answer to the charge of murder of his former girlfriend.
The murder charge was laid against KERRY KAYDON DANIEL, on Thursday 22nd October, 2020, based on the advice of Deputy Director of Public Prosecutions, Mrs Joan Honore-Paul.
Official police reports state the accused was arrested on Wednesday 14th October 2020, relative to the circumstances surrounding the death of TENEIL CUPID, whose body was discovered at WASA Well No. 8, Syncline Road, Santa Flora, on Tuesday 13th October 2020.
The victim was reported missing at the Fyzabad Police Station on Tuesday 13th October 2020, by her mother.
The victim’s mother also reported to police that her daughter had left her home with the accused, around 10:20 pm on Monday 12th October 2020, to collect clothes and to purchase food.
Enquiries were conducted by WPC Dyer-Baptiste, WPC Callender and PC Nelson. The investigation was supervised by Inspector (Ag.) Jones, Sgt. Elvin and Sgt. Stephen James, with the guidance of Legal Officer, PC Lewis.
