A man, who was shot 12 times, near his home in Malabar over a week ago died on Tuesday at the Eric Williams Medical Sciences Complex in Mount Hope.

An autopsy conducted on the body of Kevin Parkinson, 28, on Wednesday at the Forensic Science Centre revealed that he died from internal and external haemorrhage consistent with gunshot wounds.

It was reported that Parkinson was standing at the corner of All Stars Crescent and Nutones Boulevard when a car approached him and one of the occupants opened fire on him. The car then sped off.

Speaking with Guardian Media, Parkinson’s brother said they are clueless as to why anyone would have wanted him dead, “we really don’t know. He was a father of two and worked construction. I feel is people just warring with each other and shooting anyone they see. We are frightened too for our lives especially the life of my little sister.”
