Police officers believe a 56-year-old man, who was found floating in the Gulf of Paria in Carenage may have drowned.
According to a police report, at about 9.45 am on Monday the body of Roddrick Harris of Francis Street was found floating in the vicinity of St Peter’s Church, close to the Carenage Police Station.
A party of officers, who responded on the scene saw the body clad only in green underwear.
Harris’ relatives who positively identified the body told police that he had no medical condition and was last seen alive on Sunday.
The body was fished out of the sea and removed to the Port-of-Spain mortuary pending an autopsy.
