CSI at the scene of the murder of Marlon Moraldo between the Eastern Main Road and the Priority Bus Route, near the traffic lights intersection in Mt Lambert yesterday.

The search is continuing for the suspect in the fatal shooting at the Mt Lambert traffic lights on Monday afternoon.

Police have identified the victim who died at the scene as Marlon Moraldo. Four other victims, including one in critical condition, were taken to the Eric Williams Medical Sciences Complex.

According to a police report, the incident occurred at around 3.10 pm. Moraldo was liming with four other men when they were approached by the suspect who was armed with what appeared to be a machine gun. He fired several rounds at the group.

Moraldo fell and the gunman approached him and fired several more shots before escaping in a black station wagon.

Police believe the shooting was drug-related and reprisal for the killing of Anthony “Bamp” Raymond, 33, at his home on Esmeralda Drive, Mt Dor Road, Champ Fleur, earlier on Monday.

Raymond, who was shot multiple times, died at hospital at around 10.40 am. Investigations into the two incidents are continuing.
