The Met office has warned that periods of rain and/or showers are expected over at least the next 24 hours and has issued an Adverse Weather alert in this regard.
There is a high (70%) chance that some of the rainfall activity may become heavy and thundery with the threat of gusty winds in excess 50km/hr.
Street/flash flooding and localized ponding are likely in heavy downpours.
