A Moruga man was fined $10,000 after pleading guilty to possession of cannabis. In default, he would have to serve nine months in prison. Doniel Alexander, 23, of La Lune Road, Moruga, pleaded guilty to the charges when he appeared before Princes Town Magistrate Indira Misir-Gosine today.

According to police reports, between 10 pm on May 5th and 1 am on May 6th, Alexander was found in possession of 860 grams of marijuana during an exercise as part of Operation Strike Back 3. The exercise was coordinated by Snr Supt Lucia Winchester, spearheaded by ASP Ramdass and supervised by Sergeants Joseph and Charles and Cpl. (Ag.) Phoolchan.
