NALIS has extended its amnesty on books borrowed to May 31.

In a statement, NALIS said the decision was taken due to the Government’s stay at home measures.

The library said that books, DVDs borrowed from all public libraries with a due date during the period of closure will not accrue any late fees or fines.

It also said that all library cards with an expiry date during the period have been automatically extended to May 31.

NALIS added that although libraries are physically closed books can be accessed at for both library cardholders and non-holders.
