Carenage, Glencoe and environs will be without a pipe-borne water supply for most of Wednesday 14 April 2021, because of a planned power outage by the Trinidad and Tobago Electricity Commission (T&TEC).

An advisory from the Water and Sewerage Authority explains that the supply disruption originally was scheduled for Tuesday April 13th but was changed to coincide with the date of the T&TEC outage, which will impact the operations of the Tucker Valley Booster Pumping Station.

WASA advises that the supply disruption will be between the hours of 8:00 am and 8:00 pm. However, a limited truck-borne water service will be available upon request.

Areas affected include: Along the Western Main Road from La Horquette Valley Road to Teteron including all side streets encompassing Chaguaramas, Carenage, Big Yard, Abbe Poujade, Gittens Dale, Haig Street, School Street, Glencoe Estate, West Vale, The Park, Gulf View and La Horquette Valley Road.

Citizens are reminded that it may take up to 24 hours for the scheduled pipe-borne water supply to normalize to some affected areas following the completion of the works.

For further information or assistance, customers are asked to contact WASA’s Customer Call Centre toll free at 800-4420 and 800-4426.
