Showers and thunderstorms are moving across Trinidad overnight tonight.

Heavier rainfall has accompanied thunderstorms moving across southern and central Trinidad with frequent lightning and gusty winds. With heavy rainfall, street or flash flooding is possible.

This weather is associated with the passage of a tropical wave on Wednesday, as showers and thunderstorms trail behind and are likely to continue across Trinidad through dawn.

There are no alerts, watches, or warnings in effect for Trinidad and Tobago at this time from the Trinidad and Tobago Meteorological Service.

The official weather forecast from the Met Office for Trinidad and Tobago issued at 3:24 PM Wednesday 8th September 2021 called for “mostly fair and hazy with a few showers developing mainly after midnight.”

For tomorrow, the Met Office expects, “Generally sunny, hazy and at times breezy conditions would be interrupted by a few showery spells. There is a moderate concentration of Saharan dust in the area, thus persons with respiratory ailments should take the necessary precautions.”
