A police officer has been granted bail after being charged with four counts of sexual penetration of a minor and one count of rape.
According to the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS), he was arrested on Tuesday, after investigations found he had been allegedly involved with a 17-year old female.

The TTPS said at the period in question, the girl was not yet of legal age, evidenced by her birth certificate stating December 23, 2000.
It said In March 2019, the officer allegedly took her to a hotel where he also had intercourse with her without her consent.
PC Dattoo was charged and granted $150,000 bail with a surety.
The matter has been postponed to December 17 this year.
