A 41-year-old man was arrested and charged for possession of a quantity of cocaine and marijuana during an anti-crime exercise in Princes Town.
According to police reports, officers proceeded to Knolly Street, Princes Town, and conducted a search at a home.
During the search the officers found cocaine and marijuana. Akini Mark was arrested for being in possession of 250 grammes of marijuana and five grams of cocaine.
The officers then proceeded to Kings Wharf, San Fernando, where a search was conducted and one revolver with one round of .38 ammunition and four rounds of nine millimetre ammunition were found.
As the exercise continued, the officers proceeded to a bushy area at the Pleasantville Basketball Court where PC Torres found one Glock 19 pistol with an automatic selector and 13 rounds of nine millimetre ammunition and 29 grams of marijuana.
The exercise was coordinated by Snr. Supt Lucia Winchester, Supt. Jackman, Supt Carty, ASP Ramdass, Asp Corraspe and Insp. Phillip and included Sgt. Charles, Cpl Bahadur, PC Woodruff, and “Afi” of the Canine Unit.
