Three people were shot at, including a teenager and a woman in Malick on Wednesday evening; however, they escaped injuries.
Police said the victims are from Upper 7th Avenue, Malick ages 17, 35 and 39.
According to a police report, at about 5:30 pm, the victims went to the suspect’s home and while there, an argument broke out. During the heated argument, the suspect took out a gun from his waistband and pointed the firearm at the trio.

The three friends became fearful for their lives and attempted to run away in different directions along Spring Trace, Malick. However, the suspect opened fire at all of them. Luckily they escaped without injuries. The suspect is said to be on the run since.

The scene was processed by the North Eastern Division’s CSI Unit WPC Solomon and PC Ali and four spent 9mm ammunition was found on the scene. In an unrelated shooting incident in Arouca, a 23-year-old man from Guanapo Avenue, Five Rivers, Arouca was shot and wounded.

Police said at about 7:30 pm the victim was at a shop located at Savannah Road, Five Rivers, Arouca when he was shot in one of his shoulders.
Police officers who were called to the scene took the victim to the Arima Health Facility where he was medically examined for a gunshot wound to the right shoulder. He was listed in a stable condition to be transferred to the Eric Williams Medical Sciences Complex for further examination by the Orthopaedic Doctor.
Investigations are continuing into both incidents.
