On January 3rd; your food bill will increase. The announcement from the national flour mills of a price increase next Monday has led to a major public uproar with many saying that it could not have come at a worse time. In justifying the increase, NFM says it is regrettable and out of its control. But as Akash Samaroo tells us, food vendors say they will be using the same statement when they too increase the prices of their flour-based products.
