Taurean Holder, 36, one of them men who were killed at Almond Drive in Morvant on Saturday, has been described as a “family man” and one who worked very hard for what he had.

Speaking with the Guardian Media while at the Forensic Science Centre in St James yesterday, Holder’s close female friend said he had called her about one hour before he was killed to tell her that he was dropping off a man in Morvant and would be home soon.

“His ex called me and asked me where is Taurean…I told her he went on a job and she tell me to tell her that he’s with me but I said no then she said well they killed him in Morvant…He did not put himself there he called me an hour before and told me that he had now finish work and was dropping the man in Morvant and that was it…when his ex called back and said it was him I said ‘no’ he’s coming home and she called back again and say yes,” Holder’s friend said.

She described him as a “nice and loving person.” “He was a very loving person. He had nothing going bad, He was not out there, always working. He was good was not in nothing,” she added.

The woman said Holder lived in Petit Valley but was originally from Morvant and had friends there, she even added that his ex-girlfriend lived there too and that both of them know each other.

Holder was killed along with Wayne Liverpool at about 3 pm on Saturday. Holder was shot nine times.

Police officers are yet to determine a motive for the killings.
