The Ministry of Works and Transport will be carrying out repairs to cable barriers this week, along the Sir Solomon Hochoy Highway on the North Bound Lane—the 32.0 km to 38.0 km mark—namely, the Gasparillo Flyover to the Claxton Bay Flyover.

An advisory from the Ministry explains that the repair works will begin on Tuesday 11th and end on Friday 14th January 2022.  The hours of work are from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm, daily.

As a result of these repair works, the Ministry says there will be a temporary traffic disruption along the designated repair area, and during this period, traffic will be limited to a single lane within a section of the work zone.

Motorists are being advised to proceed with caution and observe all directional signs and barriers.  They also must comply with instructions from police officers or flag persons on-site, to facilitate a safe and orderly flow of traffic.

Motorists are encouraged to drive at a reduced speed and proceed with caution on approaching the work zone, and to be aware of equipment in the work zone while entering and exiting the site.
