SORT (Special Operations Response Team) officers took the fight against COVID-19 a step further over the weekend, by delivering food hampers to those financially affected by the virus.

The officers were in the field, delivering hampers and other items to needy persons in various communities affected by the coronavirus pandemic.

According to Commissioner of Police Gary Griffith, in a post on his social media page, the SORT Food Caravan delivered the items in communities in the Eastern, Central, Port-of-Spain and Northern Divisions.

The Commissioner of Police has directed that his officers, through the I Support Our Services (SOS) initiative, bring relief to persons in need at this time.
