Police officers acting on a tip-off were able to recover a revolver and ammunition hidden in a concrete block under a water tank in an open yard in Sangre Grande, on Tuesday.

According to a police report, at about 2 pm, a party of police officers of the Area North Task Force, under the supervision of Ag Sgt Khan, went to Coconut Drive in Northeastern Settlement, Ojoe Road, Sangre Grande.

There, they searched an open yard and found one .38 revolver loaded with three rounds of .38 Spl ammunition and one spent shell in a concrete block hole under a water tank.

The firearm was seized and taken to the Sangre Grande Police Station.

No one was arrested.
