The Water and Sewage Authority is advising the public of the emergency work being done at the El Socorro Booster Station. Customers in parts of North West Trinidad will experience low pressures or no water supply at this time due to a mechanical problem affecting one of the pumps at the facility.
Emergency works are expected to be completed by 10:00 p.m. on Thursday 27th January, 2022. Details follow in this press release from WASA:
The Water and Sewerage Authority (the Authority) advises customers in parts of North West Trinidad served by the El Socorro Booster Station, who are presently experiencing low pressures or no water supply that this is due to a mechanical problem affecting one of the pumps at the facility.
Emergency repair works currently underway are scheduled to be completed by10:00 p.m. on Thursday 27th January, 2022.
Areas affected include:
Barataria
St. Anns
Morvant
Cascade
East Dry River
Dibe, Long Circular
Port-of-Spain
St. James
St. Barbs
Cocorite
Gonzales
Belmont
The Authority further advises that it may take up to 24 hours for the service to normalize to some affected areas following the completion of repair work.
