Three persons were arrested for various offences during an anti-crime exercise in St. Joseph yesterday.

According to police reports, officers conducted the exercise between 1 am and 6 am, during which they arrested a 48-year-old Tunapuna man for possession of marijuana, a 43-year-old El Dorado man also for possession of marijuana and a 39-year-old St. Joseph man on an outstanding warrant.

The officers then proceeded to the North Gate at Grand Bazaar, where they found a pistol loaded with a magazine containing five rounds of ammunition and a magazine containing six rounds of ammunition, in a black plastic bag.
Investigations are ongoing.
