Tobago schools will remain in operation on Monday 28 February and Tuesday 1st March 2022, because of the deferral of carnival celebrations in Tobago to October 2022. That’s according to a release issued on Sunday night by the Division of Education, Research and Technology in the Tobago House of Assembly (THA).

The advisory notes that all schools are expected to proceed with their usual schedule and rotation arrangements on Monday 28 February and Tuesday 1 March 2022—Carnival Monday and Tuesday in Trinidad.

“In this regard, principals, teachers, secondary school students of Forms One to Six and primary school students of Standard Five are expected to report to school for face-to-face teaching and learning. Students of Infants to Standard Four will continue classes virtually,” the release said.

The Division also re-stated its commitment to ensuring that “all students are provided a quality educational experience”.  It commended “all principals, staff, parents and stakeholders for their efforts in offering our students the best opportunity for academic success.”
