Two people are expected to appear virtually in court on August 30th charged with larceny by trick. The following is a press release from the TTPS:

Two persons, ages 20 and 16, will appear virtually in court on Monday August 30th, 2021, charged with the offence of larceny by trick. ISIAH SANOIR, of Oxford Street, Port-of-Spain, will appear before a Port-of-Spain Magistrate while a 16-year-old youth, of Harpe Place, Port-of-Spain, will appear before the Juvenile Court after they were charged yesterday.

On Friday August 20th, 2021, the victim went to Charlotte Street, Port-of-Spain, where she met a man whom she previously met via a Facebook page, advertising television repairs. She handed over her 64-inch television set and $250 which represented half the cost of the repairs. Despite many attempts, the victim could not reach the man.

On Tuesday, August 24th, 2021, the victim saw the man on Charlotte Street and alerted the police who were on patrol. The man was arrested and taken into custody. After investigations were conducted, two persons were charged with larceny by trick.
