Two men in their 60s were shot and wounded while liming on Saturday night in Diego Martin.

According to a police report, at about 10.35 pm the men were liming in the vicinity of Green Hill Village when a man walked out of Mason Street towards them and fired several shots before running away.

A 65-year-old man from Quarry Street, Bagatelle and a 62-year-old man from Second Street, Bagatelle were left nursing gunshot wounds.

Police said one of the victims was shot in the chest, right foot and right arm while the other was shot in the chest and left arm.

Both men were taken to the Port-of-Spain General Hospital where they were both treated and warded in serious conditions.

Police recovered six spent shells on the scene of the crime.
