Trinidad and Tobago has registered two new cases of COVID-19.

A statement by the Ministry of Health yesterday said that one of the cases was imported from Canada.

The second case is pending epidemiological investigation.

The Health Ministry said that all established protocols have been implemented.

The ministry did not state where the new cases are to be warded.

The ministry is reminding members of the public that they must to adhere to the “New Normal” recommendations and take the following personal health measures to protect themselves and their loved ones from COVID-19.

These include wearing a mask over the nose and mouth when in public, keeping a six-foot distance from others, staying at home if ill, cleaning then sanitising surfaces, washing hands often with soap and water and using an alcohol-based hand sanitizer, cough into a tissue or into the crook of the elbow, and avoiding touching the face.

The new cases take the number in T&T up to 139.
