Two Venezuelans were arrested for possession of marijuana during an anti-crime exercise in Longdenville yesterday.

According to police reports, during a search warrant at a house at Ravine Sable Road in Longdenville officers discovered two large clear plastic wrappings containing a quantity of marijuana.

The officers seized the items and two Venezuelans aged 38 and 28 were detained. The two parcels when weighed amounted to 1,634 grammes.

The exercise was spearheaded by Ag/Snr Supt Curt Simon with field supervision by Ag/Sgt Badree and included officers of the Couva CID, Central Division Task Force- Area North and South. PC Hassanali is continuing enquires
