Opposition and UNC Leader Kamla Persad-Bissessar, attended the funeral service of Purushottam Singh on February 16. Singh, who was a UNC Debe South councillor, died over the weekend.
Singh served in the Penal Debe Regional Corporation and was heavily involved in the Indian culture.
He passed away at around 7.30 am on February 14, at his home in Gopee Trace, Penal.
Singh was known as “Puru” and “Boyo” by many.
For the last 26 years, he was a stage manager for the Chutney Soca Monarch and was also known for promoting the Indian culture and Sanatan Dharma.
