A 54-year-old Water and Sewerage Authority (WASA) employee was yesterday arrested for firearm and ammunition possession while on duty at his office.

According to reports, around 9 am, officers of the Special Operations Response Team received information that the man from Santa Cruz, who is a member of a religious group, was planning on committing a murder after completing his shift.

The officers executed a search warrant at the man’s workplace at Prizgar Road in San Juan and found a loaded pistol hidden in his car.

The man was arrested and taken to the San Juan Police Station where he remained detained up to late yesterday.
