The Water and Sewerage Authority (the Authority) has announced the disruption in their water supply in parts of North Trinidad due to ongoing works to the El Socorro Water Works, Four Roads Pumping Station and the Valsayn Highlift Station. A limited truck-borne water service will be available upon request.Details follow in this press release from WASA:

The Water and Sewerage Authority (the Authority) advises customers in parts of North Trinidad, who are currently experiencing an interruption in their pipe borne water supply that, this is as a result of several disruptions at key facilities.

This includes at the El Socorro Water Works, where emergency repairs to a defective motor is presently ongoing and is expected to be completed by 6:00 p.m. on Monday15th November, 2021.

Areas affected include:

Laventille, Belmont, Long Circular Road, Dundonald Hill, Dibe, St. James, Woodbrook, Cocorite, Cascade, St. Anns.

Emergency repair works to a defective pump at the Four Roads Pumping Station are also currently underway and expected to be completed by 6:00 p.m. on Monday 15thNovember, 2021.

Areas affected include:

Goodwood Park, Bayshore, Westmoorings (North), Morne Coco Road, Victoria Gardens, Hillcrest Drive, Union Road, Covigne Road, Richplain Road, Dangerous Corner, La Puerta Road, Diego Martin Main Road and associated side streets.

Emergency repair works are required to address mechanical problems at the. These repairs are scheduled to be completed by Wednesday 17thNovember, 2021 and will result in low pressures or no water to customers in parts of St. Joseph, Curepe, St. Augustine and Tunapuna.

The Authority further advises that it may take up to 24 hours for the service to normalize to some affected areas following the completion of repairs at these facilities.
